Ryszard was a healthy 54 year old, who enjoyed a fully active and independent life when he suffered a major
stroke from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. Prior to his debilitating stroke Ryszard worked as a self-employed
contractor in Chicago for 11 years. He entered rehabilitation in November 2008, and embraces each therapy
session with determination and endless courage with a personal goal to walk by summer, which is something
doctor's said he would never do again.

Without private health insurance and current economics, financially this has drained him of all his financial
resources. Due to his left side disability he is unable to currently work.

We need to raise money to continue paying for his much needed rehabilitation and a caregiver, along with normal
everyday expenses; rent, food, medicine, when he makes his transition from the rehabilitation center to home
care in a few months.
